Judah on the hardwood floors

Judah is now able to get all over the room, and now he will just keep getting faster and faster!  He is such a happy and content little guy - I love his little laugh in this video!

Waiting for a package

Brianna found a set of Legos she wanted from the Lego store - but we didn't have her ATM card to pull out the money for her to buy it.  So she was told we would have to come back.  It was fairly expensive ($50), but she had the money and really wanted it.  I looked it up on Amazon.  It was the same price there.  Then a couple days later, I got an email saying that an item I looked at was now on sale.  It ended up being $34.  Brianna was thrilled to spend less on the same thing - and wondered what else she could purchase with her saves...so she ended up getting a 2nd smaller item to go with it, lol!  In total, she still spent less, even after tax than the original price (before tax) at the Lego store.

But then came the hard part...waiting for the item to arrive in the mail.  Ashley was just about as excited as Brianna was...and today, it finally came!
Ashley was trying to peek even before Brianna got it open, lol!

And they are still (2 hours later) happily working on this project together! :)

Brianna and the littles playing outside

Today, we found *real* sunshine!  It was so nice to get out and play!  Brianna did such a great job of playing with the littles, pushing them just enough to make it fun but not scary, and playing very nicely with all of them!
It was a wonderful passtime for her, since what she really wanted was the UPS truck to arrive with her Legos on board, lol!  Meanwhile, Ashley was in the front yard waiting for Brianna's new Legos, lol!

The Children's Museum that is.  They have a rule, that you can only have a 6:1 child to adult ratio at any time.  This goes for field trips, as well as families.  Unfortunately, they do not understand that big family dynamics are very different than a field trip...but that is another subject!

The twins are out of town with their Aunt Carolyn for a couple of days...and the younger 6 were a bit restless - they really needed to get out and play.  Unfortunately, it was kind of chilly outside, and I didn't want to bring the littles to a park and stay outside for very long.

So, we decided to head to the children's musem!  With just 6 children with me, the timing was right - especially when MIL came with me as well!  (What the children's museum doesn't understand is that it is actually safer for us to travel all together, so that we can use the buddy system more effectively...)

Everyone had a wonderful time!

This is a new exhibit for us, all about air.  It is a closed tunnel system that pulls scarves up and out different places.  It was a lot of fun to watch the scarves travel through the tubes and float gently to the ground!

The horse at the museum is no longer there - much to Callie's disappointment!
This is another new exhibit, it is all about roller coaster design, and the physics behind it.  I think the twins will really enjoy this one - if we can find a way to bring them to the museum while we do not have 2 of the younger ones!

The water room is always a big hit!

This is the upstairs outdoor rooftop adventure.  Everyone enjoyed the few minutes we spent there - it was a bit too cold to stay very long though!

Check out Callie climbing up a rock wall!  Makes me really want to build another one - I still have the holds to do it, too!

Callie was so tired that she laid down while we waited to use the restroom.
When we got home, I put the littles in their beds, then changed laundry over before checking on them again...they were very tired!

A lovely day for a walk

I  love to see the awe and wonder my children have for the
amazing world that God made for us!
Serenity has a funny little run.  The way she moves is very cute.  She is quickly growing out of this, and I thought before it was gone forever, I would get at least the idea of it on video!

Serenity's bed, all set up

Serenity loved getting to help clean up her bed, which has spent the last couple years in the barn.   Actually, she loves to help with pretty much everything she sees as a big girl job.

Fun in the Sun - almost!

Well, ok, it really just wasn't raining, but that means quite a bit around here, lol!
We were still able to go outside and play without getting too wet.

Ashley and Brianna were hard to keep up with!

I traded the regular swing for a toddler swing so that Judah would be able to play outside, too!  He had a lot of fun until Serenity got a bit too exited about pushing him...I am sure he will like that, too, in the not so distant future!
These pics were taken yesterday afternoon.  Today, we had REAL sunshine.  Everyone has enjoyed playing outside, and even having the doors open to air the house out a bit.  The twins asked if they could mow the lawn, too - what a blessing to have children who enjoy helping out!

Busy in the bus

Pictures of everyone staying busy on the bus during the first hour of class.

It is getting harder and harder to keep Judah on his pad!

Seren and J even spent some time cleaning the bus!
Ashley kept finding different places to sit for a new perspective.
Judah is getting more active by the day!
And yes, on occation, I let them watch a video on my laptop!
