Happy Birthday to Callie!
Callie is now 3 years old! It is amazing how quickly time flies! It seems like such a short time ago that I was holding her in the NICU hoping and praying we would get to come home soon, yet she was so tiny and seemed so fragile, that I was afraid of what her big sisters might do to her once she was home, lol! She has come a long way since then!
Callie has had a great time playing with her birthday balloons today! She is very excited about all of the "Happy Birthday!" attention she is getting from her sisters.
Callie has completed 4 weeks of her new therapy, and most things are going pretty well. There are still things she doesn't like, but she is tolerating them overall. She is also increasing how long she is able to do some things! We have another 12 weeks before we go back to see them...I am excited to see what progress she makes in that amount of time and what they have to say about her progress!
Callie also got to see her first therapist on Saturday. Miss Jenna came to play with her, and give us some pt advice for the next month or so. She has given us some different things to work on to help strengthen some of the muscles that are weak on Callie (from lack of use!). We have added this into Callie's daily therapy routine.
I think we have decided to take Sundays off completely for therapy - it is just too much to keep up this schedule 100% of the time! Biblically it would make sense to take a day off...I have emailed the neurodevelopmental therapist to get her take on it...
Tonight we will have nachos and bean dip for dinner (I asked Callie what she would like and she said, "Chips!" so that is what we will have, lol!).
