I thought we would be staying home today...but with an invite to go to Robert and Tameryn's pool, we took them up on it! the girls had a BLAST! They spent the morning in our pool, and the afternoon in their pool.

Then it was off to the dr. Callie is now weighing in at 21.5 lbs, and Justice is up to 10 lbs even (and that was before he ate)! Callie has a prescription cream to try on her horrible diaper rash that we have been fighting for months...we hope and pray that it works well!

Ever try baking a cake (or rather, SEVERAL), on the warmest day on record for that date??? It is NO FUN. That is what I am doing now. I have about 40 more minutes left of the oven on...and am looking forward to turning it OFF...but to build my castle cake, I need lots of layers, and to get those layers, it takes 3 rounds of baking cakes in the oven...sigh...I am sure that Breezy will appriciate it! This cake is what she has been talking about for the last 3 months. I would hate to disappoint that kind of anticipation!

Beating the heat...

Beating the heat, or at least trying to! We have spent the last couple days playing outside in the pool, which is in the shade most of the day.

We started today off with staying inside though because it was already HOT when we woke up. My awesome husband went out last week and got us a window AC unit for the main part of the house, and that has made it comfortable inside.

We did have some errands to run getting Ashley a swim suit, and taking Justice's 1 month pictures...the problem with this is that the van has no ac.

We were able to get Ashley a swim suit while Callie and Brianna took their nap. That made it quick and easy. We then had a picture appointment that should have been the perfect time...except that we forgot the picture outfit in the diaper bag at home, lol! We got home about the time Breezy and Callie woke up, so brought them with us to get pictures taken.

While we were in the van on our way back to Sears, a bee flew in the van, landed on Justice and walk up his arm and under his onsie! It ended up stinging him twice before it was able to leave. The twins were upset and trying to get the bee off him without getting stung themselves...and when Justice was stung, I am not sure who was more upset, Anna or Justice (who cried for about 5 minutes), I was on the road and unable to get back to him right away. What a blessing that I have older children who were able to take care of him and let me know how he was doing!

We did finally make it to pictures, and back home. The pediatrician said to just watch him, make sure he breathes OK, and to make sure he doesn't break out in hives or anything like that. Justice's arm is DEFINITELY sore, but I think he will be OK, no signs of really scary reactions!

Sears was a ZOO...people lined up going around the inside of the store TWICE trying to get the few air conditioners that were coming in this evening! I am so grateful and so blessed that my husband got one LAST WEEK! Along with fans! Chris also picked up a couple fans last week that have been such a blessing!

Here's my M&M's enjoying some watermelon we picked up on our way home from just looked so good as we drove through the fruit stand!

God's Grace is Sufficient for me

Those were the first thoughts that came to my mind this morning as I woke up...God's grace is sufficient for me. God' grace is sufficient for me to take care of the children that He has blessed me with. God's grace is sufficient when I have had little sleep through the night. God's grace is sufficient when dealing with a child, whose behavior warrents modification. God's grace is sufficient I have to be creative with finding things that at least sort of go together for a meal. God's grace is sufficient when, at the end of the day, the house looks like the site of a major natural disaster. God's grace is sufficient for me.

I thank my God that He has gone before me, and will not let me be tempted beyond what I can bear. I praise you, Father, for your grace!

I have not been very productive has been a lot of holding babies and nursing and changing diapers. But it has really been a blessing, as I have had a lot of time to really listen to the way my children play. It is so different than what I grew up with! Their play is full of hope, and love and most of all, Jesus Christ.

One of their favorite things is for me to tell them a bible story with our felt board, because then they get to play with the pieces afterward. We are currently reading through Job in our old testament reading, so that is the story we did on the felt board. When the girls played with the pieces after the story, they had an older woman come and explain how to be a helpmeet to Job's wife! When they play, it is full of prayer, and calling on the name of Jesus. It is full of their imaginary characters helping eachother through trials, they talk about the fruits of the spirit and the armor of God. What a blessing that God has done such a work in their short little lives!
